Terms of Use

This is a Korea-based service. Operations, customer support, and payment processing are conducted under Korean law. The English version of these terms is provided as a courtesy translation for international users. In any conflict between the English and Korean versions, the Korean version shall prevail.

1. Service overview

Embracing the Shadow (그림자를 안아주다) is an AI-assisted self-reflection service grounded in Jungian analytical psychology, operated by KICP Co., Ltd. (Recovery Place) from the Republic of Korea.

2. Eligibility

Users must be 14 years or older. International users may register and use the service, but all sessions and reports are conducted via the same AI engine deployed for Korean users (currently translated UI; the AI itself responds in your language).

3. Payment

All transactions are processed in Korean Won (KRW) through KCP, a Korean payment gateway. Foreign credit cards may be subject to additional currency conversion fees set by your card issuer.

4. Refund policy

Unused sessions are refundable within seven (7) days of payment via the dashboard. Used or expired sessions are non-refundable.

5. Privacy

Conversation content is encrypted at rest with AES-256. Administrators see only metadata, not content. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Disclaimer

This service is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, or psychological care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please use the crisis resources.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Korea.
